Arch + Bow Films is an independent documentary production company inspired by bold artistic vision and vital, untold stories. Founded by producer Sara Archambault, Arch + Bow is committed to the development and discovery of new talent; championing risk-taking and inspiring creative craft; and speaking truth through the power of artful nonfiction. Focused primarily on features and shorts, Arch + Bow works collaboratively with directors, producers and partners to bring innovative and compelling documentaries from concept to market.

Arch + Bow’s films have earned critical acclaim, numerous awards, and have been exhibited at some of the top film festivals around the world including the Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca, New Directors/New Films, Hot Docs, and CPH:DOX. Recent titles include RIOTSVILLE, USA (Magnolia, Hulu), TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES (Sentient Art Film, OVID), and A DECENT HOME (Gravitas, America Reframed). 

Sara Archambault, Founder/Producer

Sara Archambault is a Creative Producer dedicated to artful and impactful nonfiction filmmaking. Sara champions risk-taking films with bold vision that center a practice of equity, care, collaboration, and justice in their creation. Recent films include RIOTSVILLE, USA (Sundance, Magnolia Pictures); TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES (Rotterdam, Sentient Art Films), A DECENT HOME (Denver, America Reframed) and the upcoming RICHLAND. Sara's award-winning films have screened in festivals around the world and received support from Sundance Film Institute, SFFILM, Catapult Film Fund, IDA, Hot Docs Pitch Forum, and Film Independent, among others.  Sara was a 2020 Impact Partners Producing Fellow, a 2013 Sundance Creative Producers Lab Fellow and 2020 SF DocFest Vanguard Awardee. 

Committed to building resources and opportunities for documentary filmmakers, Sara’s institutional work includes her role as the Documentary Film Project Director at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University’s Kennedy School. Her professional history also encompasses programming and foundation work, including 10 years as Program Director at LEF Foundation, and 9 years as Founder/Programmer of The DocYard. Guided by a belief that we must actively tend to our creative communities, she contributes as a member of the Documentary Producers Alliance and serves on the board of The Flaherty. Eternally a dedicated art house film fan, Sara loves going to the movies by herself.

Brooke Saias, Associate Producer

Brooke Saias (she/her) is an independent filmmaker and producer. In addition to her work with Arch + Bow, she collaborates with organizations and artists to develop impactful, compelling, and overlooked stories. Her own film practice explores personal and collective memory in relationship to place and identity. Her documentary short about the preservation of the Ladino language, SONGS OF THE SEPHARDIM IN IZMIR, premiered at the Boston Jewish Film Festival in 2022 and is currently screening in festivals. She was awarded a 2023 CJP Arts & Culture Grant for her upcoming short film KARPUS, which questions her upbringing within an Ashkenazi and Sephardic family and connects with other Sephardic Jews of her generation reflecting on their own experience. 


Brooke previously produced a collection of international documentary films for Compass Light Productions, and worked as an award-winning video journalist for Education Week. She is dedicated to making the documentary space more equitable, and was part of a team that helped establish The Video Consortium's first mentorship program, sponsored by Sony. She has a graduate certificate in Documentary Studies from The Salt Institute and received a B.A. in Gender & Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
